As well as harming the prospects for our economy and communities\u2019 own social wellbeing, highways riddled with potholes pose an increasing safety threat to road users.\u201d <sup><small>i<\/small><\/sup><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6c0e174 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6c0e174\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Better Roads aims to promote an understanding of the importance of the highway network as well as promote the safety, environmental, economic and social case for a properly maintained sustainable network across the UK.<\/p><p>Active for many years, including under its previous name the APPG for Highways, the group has reformed following the 2024 General Election under a new Chair, Rebecca Paul MP.<\/p><p>The Group is supported by the Asphalt Industry Alliance (AIA) and Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE). The Asphalt Industry Alliance is a partnership between the Mineral Products Association and Eurobitume.
